What is 15mm Scale Terrain?

What is/size 15mm scale? More specifically i play warmachine-hordes( im a noob) what is the scale size as far as the terrain? is 15mm terrain in scale with warmachine-hordes? if not what is the size scale of premaid terrain pieces for warmachine -hordes? reason im asking about the 15mm is I saw some cool stuff on here at that size.

Warmachine and Hordes are 30mm scale, so basically twice the size of a 15mm scale fig. (Basically, and, to be honest, scale is talking about the height of the figures. Some companies measure to the top of the head, some to the eye, and some just seem to kind of guess, or make "heroic 28mm scale" figs.) Anyway, something that is scaled for a 15mm figure is going to be about half the size you really want it to be for Warmahordes.

(Some things are always out of scale. I have rarely seen trees at anything close to true scale heights, because then your average 28mm tree is going to be about 10-12" high.)

The above has 15mm (don't know if they are true or heroic) and a set of HO buildings. Take a look.

"15mm scale terrain" on Google also comes up with some great videos and links on make FoW terrain.
