Would it be possibleto have different skin options. I'd like a color scheme with a higher contrast. I find it near impossible to differentiate between read and unread personal messages.

I'd like to have different skin options. Maybe something scaly that can stop bullets.

Thanks... Now I miss "The Cape" more than ever, making me think of Scales...

That aside... I agree with the above, new skin colours for the site would be cool.

Having done some work in PHPBB3, there are a number of prefab skins that come with the forum code. IIRC, you can give users the option to choose which from their UCP. I'd imagine that the only thing that would be a problem is the ad banner, as I'm not sure if that's part of the skin or the site.

Every single thing that makes BTown unique (ITL & the numbers by usernames all over the forum, colored titles for BT+ members, topic previews for BT+ members, the 7-day post lock system, etc) requires meddling with the skins. I'm not going to add any skins until we have all the BT+ 2012 mods finished, and they've been running for a while without problems.

Even then, I'm going to guess extra skins would be a BT+ thing, if they get implemented.

Adding a skin is a phenomenal amount of work. The presence of the ITL makes it a tricky option because the ITL is custom code (or something) created by TrademasterAdam. I remember him stating in the past that it was very difficult to add a skin.

As Plarz said, if new skins are to com, there will not likely be more than 1 or 2 more, they will be FAR down the list are are most assuredly going to be strictly BT+ options (as are a multitude of the options we're adding now).
