Extremely intermittent and annoying as all heck. In other words, yes. Yes they are.

So it's not just a Florida, or even US thing.
It's the site.

JMO, but this is why I didn't jump on the btown+ bandwagon.
I've been around too long, and seen too many problems & unresolved problems to pay for a site.

I appreciate that it is your opinion regarding Btown+; I look at Btown+ as my way of helping to support the site, I do not conisder it a payment.

That being said, seeing how many Btown+ members there are (33), the money from that support should be going directly to site upkeep and issues should be dealt with with expediency. Some of the things that happened after the days long outage, should have been rectified much sooner than they were. Some still need to be resolved. Harsh words from the Btown fanboy that I am, but JMO too.

Fair comments all around.

Here's what I know (and don't):
-I don't know what's going on with it. It's weird.
-It is intermittent.
-I have not had any problems so far today.
-I emailed Lin and Adam last night to be certain they were aware, but have not heard back yet. Then again, I don't always hear back. Sometimes, when I report an issue, it just gets fixed.
-To the best of my knowledge, none of the money from BT+ subscribers has been spent yet. The money is going towards physical equipment upgrades (per Adam).
-Someone on Dakka told me taht Avast gave them a "Virus/Blocked" warning for the site.
-I checked the site on two different web sites that check for that. Both came up clean as a whistle.
-The majority of the issues with the site we've had are not problems any longer. Due to the fortunate addition of a non-staff assistant with phbb experience, the site is getting the attention it's needed. Notice the changes to ref's shown in PM's, the ref page, etc? That's part of it. Issues with it going down have always been hosting issues in the past, and we always did what we could, as fast as we could (and, by "we," I mean "Adam").

Have you tried clearing out your cache?
It's been 2 straight days for me without a single issue.

Last couple days Ive had timed out issues trying to load b-town. Thought it was just my net, see now I was wrong.

That's weird.
Typically, when it's a site issue, the problems are site-wide. I'm having absolutely ZERO issues.

...Not to infer that the problem lies with those who are having issues, mind you. I'm certain that any issues you're experiencing are related to the previous couple days.

I'm wondering. Those of you who are still having issues, have you tried clearing out your cache, etc.? Just looking for any sort of constants.

Thanks.

Eric

I had slow loading PMs from 1pm EST today. Cleared my cache, still slow until 140pm EST then boom, no problems loading anything for the last 5 minutes.

Not a cache issue. I have two different machines, 1 home and 1 work. Both have issues with timeouts, both are on separate ISPs. Cleared caches on both, no fix. Just have to keep reloading until it connects.
