pictures and images on BT?

Hey, I'm brand new here, and excited to get my trade on. I have been through the rules and through the FAQ and have run a search, but I haven't been able to find a reason why there don't seem to be pictures or images posted in the "have" ads. Is it against the rules to do so? Do the forums just not support this service? I are a bit internets dum sometimes, so maybe this is me not understanding something commonplace, or failing in my searching.

It seems to me that seeing pics of a model--especially if it is assembled, converted, or painted--would be a necessary part of assessing its subjective value, whether buying or selling.

So, my question is: what part do images and pictures play in BT trades, and how are they handled?

Some people do post images (example: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=142328), particularly for conversions and/or finished painted work, for exactly the reasons you suggest. I would say the reason most traders don't post pictures in the thread itself is they're trading stuff that isn't painted, and also that images can turn a medium-size post into an epic long post. So a lot of posters link to a photobucket page instead.

There is also a limit to the pic size which can be frustrating. Going through the process and then finding out you pic is too large.

Hosting your image off-site and using the [img] tags will rectify that.
