Is there a rule on btown that the person trading models needs to specify to their trade partner that the model they have is OOP? The reason I ask is, because I have had experiance trading on Rogue-Markt in the past and I got jipped because the guy made me pay a premium for OOP models. He never stated whether or not they were new and I thought I was going to recieve the latest edition models.
I know some people dont know what they have but some do. Does Btown have any rules for such a thing because I can see this as being quite a problem.

Re: Trading OOP Model Rule???
There is a discussion about this type of thing going on in the bad traders reports: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=139398 and MM made it into a discussion thread here: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=139483. Try that for starters. I would always ask, but definitely always good to post what edition your models are.

The rule is that all trade goods should be described as best as is possible. Pictures are encouraged.
I am always in the market for weird and wonderful GW oddbitz and ephemera. PM me if you have something old/weird/rare.

And, if you are buying / trading, make sure you know exactly what edition of the model you are getting. As much a buyer responsibility as a seller responsibilty to make sure the trade is exactly what you are both looking to get out of a deal.

- A simple 'not interested' to a trade offer is just being polite. It helps people setting up multiple trades know where they stand.
- Google something for someone, they get an answer. Teach someone how to Google their own answer, they own the Internet.

I should also specify that it is stated plainly as such in our rules of posting. The seller is responsible for accurately describing what they are sending (edition, condition, etc).
As has been said here, though, it's a good trade habit to get into to always ask for every possible specific that matters to you about any models you're receiving.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Yeah being clear and repetitive is huge. I had listed stuff in a post and in every message with another trader as (oop bare metal), then I insisted we send picks and when he saw them he said "oh I didn't realize they were the old metal ones".... deal fell apart. That and it covers your but so they can’t complain after the fact. That’s my too cents.

If you don't have or get pics or links of models, always ask, are they the same as website? or state if you're selling/trading.
Some people consider the older OOPS, especially the RT era as worth more. Other don't consider them worth anything.
If you like them, then they're worth what you think; same as current, less or more.
