The army list were FREE from GW, but the link is gone or doesnt work. Does anyone have the Middenheim Defenders list? There should be no problems with giving this- it was free. Im not asking for an illegal download of the whole book- just the Empire list. Im doing an Ulric/Middenheim themed list & want it for ideas.

I'm 90% positive at the tail end of 7th edition these lists got dropped as they were outdated and GW had no intention of supporting them into 8th edition. I think I remember that these lists are out at official GW tournaments, too.

They were dropped. . .but they're still neat to have! I have a copy of the book, and it's great for fluff. I just feel sorry for anyone who built the Karak Kadrin list (all Slayers), shelled out hundreds of dollars for an all-pewter army. . .and got to use it for about two years.

I personally hate when GW does this...

Fortunately the empire and chaos models can still be "counts as" other empire models.

I personally have a HUGE Kizlivitte Army that I haven't been able to legally play in many years, not to mention a huge DOW army.

I am actually finding they do okay as a "counts as" Chaos Marauder army. but would love to have a legal army book.

Kislevites might be Indy GT legal. It would be worth a double-check. They should allow them, considering they allow those horrendous, independent codeci (like the indy Chaos Dwarfs, Estalians, etc.).

That was me right there. Built a nice sized Slayer army, then BAM! Out they go. Luckily I've managed to mostly part out the army, but it's still a massive pain.


Now I'm sad again.....

Well, at least with 8th edition you have a reason for building huge Slayer units.

Yeah, after having sold all but one unit of 20. sigh... Plus to make one unit of just 20 will now cost over $100. Though, if you haven't foisted off all your extras like I did, it wont be a problem to build huge units.
