Random question about mini converting/painting business

Time for another random question!

Heres the deal, I like assembling, modelling, converting and painting more than playing and am very fast at it. In 40k I was switching up armies 3 times a year, then trading them due to boredom. I have recently switched to playing Warmachine and am finding out it really pays to stick to only a couple of armies. I may try to slow down my own armies, and possibly start a small miniature converting/painting business.

I should add that my painting skills are at least good tabletop standard, excellent converting and pinning skills, as well as quick assembly and mold line removal.

Does anyone have any ideas, pros and cons to sway me either way? Keep in mind this is really only a thought at this time, and it may only end up as a once in a blue moon thing, or not at all.

My main concerns are a portfolio/website and location, Victoria isn't a super convenient/cheap place to send models.

Thanks,
Ryan

You might want to test the waters, per se. Set up a blog and display your skills. Get some comments going on your work. Maybe do a quick youtube vid of a conversion. Do some work in your local area with your gaming group. Get some models displayed at a FLGS. You don't just want to jump in with both feet.
