Not a Trade but need help

I am needing help from anyone that might be able to help me identify the resin bases that were used with some models I traded for. The person I traded thought they were from Dragon Forge but the ones on the site don't look like what I have The bases appear to be rune carved stone which is broken. Below are a few pictures of medium and small bases.

They look like Groundwerks resin inserts; I'd guess Temple or Shrine, something like that.

I'd also suggest you get this moved up to the "Have Questions? Need Help?" or the general discussion area.

*Edit*- looks like Stanislav had it; MAS bases are much more likely.

WTF?

Any chance of getting pics that are bigger than thumbnail images? Might get more help that way.

Nice. Come to a new site, ask people for help and immediately insult not only the most active poster but also one of the primary Moderators.

I returned the sentiment that his comment was given. His comment did not require the "WTF" it would have accomplished what it seemed to want without it. If it is ok to be insulting by saying that to me then it is ok for me to be just as dismissing with my response.

If you get offended by something as simple as that, perhaps the internet is not for you.

Guy's keep it on topic, take anything else home or to pms.

I can't say for sure what Eric meant by his WTF? but it might of been that this was posted in the wrong forum to begin with.

Yes bigger pictures would be of more help and hey if all you have is a camera phone then so be it.

Now I'm also thinking Groundwerks from what I can tell but did you contact Dragon forge and ask them, perhaps he remolded them and removed the old ones? He's an advertiser here so you could pm him if you wish.

I'd check the cool mini store just because they have pictures of their different bases.

Do they have 'tab slots' on the bottom? If so then most likely groundworks, if not then ???.

But if you can say whose they are as a link after you fund out I wouldn't mind checking them out.

You don't know me well enough to presume intent (note the "poem" in my sig line). "WTF" is not an insult, in and of itself. It's, simply, an exclamation. If I'd said, "Dude!" would you have thanked me for "Dude-ing" you and used such a snarky comment to insult me?

Umm, actually, that would be Administrator. Mods have dark green User ID's.
For your transgressions, a ban is imminent. Please, complete your trades in a timely fashion whilst I fetch my hammer.

I can only respond to that with this:

You've really got to lighten up, man. If I was trying to insult you, I'd have done a Hell of a lot more than just use those 3 letters. Remember; just because you felt insulted, does not mean I insulted you. The latter generates from me, but the former is from you.
I'm a relatively intelligent person (able to tie my shoes and hold a conversation at the same time), and, IRL, I throw insults like exhales (in jest). I'm far more creative than that.

The "WTF" was more of a "WTF is that?" If that's an insult to you... Wow. You might want to stay away from other gaming related sites. Bartertown is the "Kiddy Pool" of online gaming sites. The staff here work relatively hard to make sure we have a "friendly" reputation.
Other sites? Not so friendly.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but...

look at these:

Based on description and the photos, I think they may either be them or close. Good luck, MAS ones are expensive...

Those are the ones. Thank you very much. A friend suggested trying to duplicate them by making my own mold but I feel like that is like stealing, I know I am not selling them but I at least want to pay for some before doing that. I appreciate all the help from you all.

And if I mistook the meaning of the exclamation I am sorry, it seems like people don't always take things the way they were intended. In answer to an above comment, if the WTF had been Dude I would not have responded to it the same way because no cursing was done. To me using WTF was the same as yelling that in my face (it is all in caps after all, the internet universal sign for yelling).

Normally, I'd suggest that people take disagreements to PM.
Since this kind of "played out" publicly, though, and the below could help others, I'm keeping it here.
FWIW, to anyone reading, I did contemplate taking it to PM... so don't go PMing me about it. LOL

Keep in mind... It wasn't actually cussing.
Yes. I know what the "F" stands for... but saying "WTF" is no different than saying "Freaking" similarly in a sentence. You're just using one thing ("F" or "Freak") to represent a word you'd rather not say outloud for whatever reason. KWIM?
Had I said, "What the f*ck," or "What the fu(k," your assessment of me cussing at you would be more on target.

Honestly, if you peruse a lot of sites around, you'll find that to be a constant and typical concept.

Now, as for the all caps issue; you misunderstand that, as well.
It's very common for you to see "internet" style abbreviations in all caps or all lower case. Had I said, "IDK," I doubt you'd have taken that as me yelling "I don't know" at you. You know?
Additionally, caps isn't universally accepted as "yelling" unless all or large portions of the message are in caps. For individual words, it's seen as a form of emphasis, like *asterisks*, italics, or emboldening. Using all caps is faster than any of those.

"I was TOTALLY not trying to tick you off!" reads differently than, "I WAS TOTALLY NOT TRYING TO TICK YOU OFF!"
Kwim? (See? Like that, it looks more like I misspelled a word than like I said "KWIM)

Hope that clears it up.

Eric
