Cause for Concern, not responding to PMs?

Hey Everyone!

Okay, it's me again, and beginning to get a bit concerned about 2 recent trades I've done.

The first was with [someone], who lives in Canada and agreed to send me some Tyranids for a large collection of Heroclix, he has a rating of 20, so I sent first. I sent out the Clix on Tuesday April 12th, to Canada, I believe. I sent him one PM a bit early to check on them (like April 17th, for some reason I thought it had been longer since I sent the PM) and he said it was a bit soon for them to arrive. I've waited about 2 weeks without recieving a package and sent him another PM on April 26th. No response, Waited a week, sent him another one this past Monday. It's almost Friday now and he hasn't even READ his PM's. I wonder if there's another way to get into contact with him. Unfortunately, I did not get tracking for my shipment because it seems you can't get tracking to Canada without shipping Priority. That would've cost about $26, as opposed the $9 I paid for first class.

The Second person is [somebody else]. I traded him an AOBR set for some Carnis and a Tyrant. It was supposed to be a simul-send, but he got delayed for a few days. He got the AOBR Box a few days later and said his wife took the Nids to mail around April 22. He told me he would give me a DC# later at night. I wasn't worried about it for awhile, but after waiting almost a week and not recieving anything, I got a bit concerned. I sent him a PM and it took him awhile to respond. Finally he did saying he had been deployed to clean up the Oil Spill and was very sorry and willing to compensate for any problems. I sent him a response saying that it wasn't a big deal, the shipment had probably been delayed. Unfortunately, I'm getting a bit concerned about that now as well, because it's been almost 2 weeks on what should've been a 3-5 day Priority shipment from Alaska.

[He] has not been on the site since Fri Apr 23, 2010 4:40 pm. Not sure if you are in the states but perhaps the package is sitting in customs?

Your second guy, I don't know seems odd he would go from Alaska down to the gulf. I don't find him on Bartertown, did he have any ref's?

You should probably remove the names of your trade partners. This is almost like posting a BTR on them without any proof.

As for the guy from Canada.

Ground shipping usually takes a minimum of 15 BUSINESS days That's 3 weeks.

We are right around the time that the package should be arriving. Maybe a few days over.

As for the dude from Alaska, I'm not sure how fast mail is to Alaska, but if it is similar to Canada you may have another week to wait.

Okay, I'm REALLY getting concerned now.
I've been waiting over a month now for the one from Canada (sent it around April 09th), I have yet to receive any package or response from the sender. I've sent an average of 1 PM per week, (one on April 26th, May o4th ad May 14th). It seems he read the first 2, but has yet to see or read the third one, but he does not respond. I'm sure there is a possibility that the package was delayed or he's super busy and has more important things to do in Real life. I don't care about any of that. I just want to know if it's been sent or not.

The one from Alaska has been a bit more than 3 weeks (think he sent it on April 24th). At least this person responded to one of my Pm's, but I believe he's off in New Orleans cleaning up an Oil spill. Never got a DC from him, but I hope to when he reads my next PM's (which were sent quite awhile ago)

So what should I do? How long should I wait before filing a BTR? I don't care about delays, I just want feedback and I really dislike being ignored.

What I do is (if they're reading them) send a PM with the SUBJECT that says: "SECOND AND FINAL ATTEMPT"

Then in the body of the message I say something like -It's been over 'X' # of weeks and I have not heard from you, but you have read the messages - I do not know what else to do except leave a bad trader report, but I'd rather NOT do that if at all possible. Please let me know what your circumstances is so I can make adjustments to my expectations... etc.etc.

If they're reading the PMs - I've had a lot of good luck w/the "... final attempt ..." messages. I don't wait/jack around w/folks - if you're reading my PMs and a couple of weeks go by - and NO response - heck w/ya!!! but always -ALWAYS- follow the rules of the site!!
