Space Marine Librarian bitz question...

Seeing as GW no longer shows what parts make up their models on their website I turn to you, the Bartertown community, for bitz help. I'd like to know which, if any, of the Librarians in power armor come in multiple parts and what those parts are in each model. That's a tall order, I know, but some of you probably have done your homework already I'd imagine. To give you an idea where I'm going with this I'm looking to put a Libby on a Bike and want to see what I can scavenge from models on foot like arms, weapons, heads, etc. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

the one with the axe has its left arm a second bit
you can also just use a grey knight and cut his storm bolter off, cut him at the waste and put him on a bike lower body

The new termi libby has the arm that can have the palm open hand and the combi-plasma.

I suggest trading for the Robed Dark Angels Biker. Add a nice sword (Emperors Champion one looks awesome) and some putty or bits to make his hood into a psychic hood. DA book hanging from belt on bike is nice touch.

Coincidentally, this was plan B...

You could also use Tigurius along with some DA robed biker legs to fit the bill. Cut Tigurius' torso off and fit him to the biker legs.

The psychic hood of this librarian I made using a shoulderpad trimmed like a T and guitar strings to make the power cables.

How do you cut guitar strings? And what size guitar strings are those?

I have all sizes of bass guitar strings. I have to cut them with a Dremel cut-off wheel to keep from destroying them with wire cutters. Save yourself the hassle and get the
Dragon Forge "power cables". Jeff was smart enough to cast lengths of guitar strings in pewter. Fabulously easier to work with than the real thing.
Jeramakus - if you decide to go with plan B I've got several extra robed legs you can have. All of the Librarian models are one piece bodies so cutting is going to have to happen if you want a Biker Librarian.
LePe - nice idea for the hood. I think I'll use that for the 5+ Librarians I need to modify for my chapter. Cheers!

Hi Drakkar,
YoungWolf's sugestion of using pewter power cables seens nice (I never used then, but cutting and bending guitarstrings to size and shape is a painfull process). I just can't remember the size, since I salvaged the strings from broken guitar strings that I had around the house.

Great suggestions, everyone, and thanks for the offers and help. I'm going to rummage around the bitz a bit and see what I can come up with.

years ago, and I mean many years ago. I found metal 'thread'. It is even on a plastic spool.
I used it to make tow cables for WW2 model tanks and bits of wire. I bought it at a crafts store. I don't recall the price but it wasn't expensive. It's easy to twist and wrap. It's thinner than picture frame wire. it was easy to bend, but you needed a small set of wire cutters.
I don't know who might still sell it, but I'd check with craft stores.

I have some stuff that I've used several times in the past. They call it Florist Wire around here, not sure what it might be called elsewhere. It is basically a thin bendable wire thread is the usually used to help arrange flowers. I find that I can easily cut a few lengths and twist them in all sorts of shapes for when I need cabling.

I've simply avoided the whole Psychic Hood issue by using a cool helmet (Iron Warriors head, the one without horns), and simply claiming the Hood is built into the helmet housing.
I've always thought the wired dome thing looked horrible.
