Review/Advice for Dungeon Twister wanted

OK, so I have entered into a trade for the Dungeon Twister game, plus the Paladin/Dragon expansion and the 3-4 player expansion.
I have liked the look of the game as I saw it in the stores, and boardgamegeek has very complimentary things to say about it.
I have a board game/card game/rpg group I play with on the weekends (different from my 40k group) and am picking this up for us to try. We are all 30+ years of age, most married, and have been gaming since high school togeather.
so, onto my questions..
How steep of a learning curve does this have? Can 4 people (who have good gaming backgrounds) sit down, thrash out the rules, and not be totally confused?
Do any of the regular expansions support the 3-4 person mode? I THINK we will mostly play with 3-4 people, as we are social gamers. Can the 2-player expansions be integrated into a multiplayer game or will things get highly unbalanced in the favor of the new hotness?
What are you folks' experience with the game?
