Gauging interest / asking opinions.
It's time for me to bail out of Warhammer. Well, not entirely. I just realized that it's been more than a year since my last game, and i don't see that changing anytime soon. So i'm going to sell everything Warhammer related and just keep a few models that i want to paint.
Now, i've got 15 years in this game. So as you can imagine, i've got about a ton of bits that i need to get rid of. And i suppose that leads me to the point of this post - Would there be any interest in buying out an entire 15 years' worth of bits from someone? The thought of trying to break it up into lots is having the same effect on my mind that i imagine staring at Cthulhu might. I've got bits from just about every army in Warhammer, a ton of 40k bits, Necromunda, Mordheim, GorkaMorka, you name it. I've got a GIANT tub full of sprues, and several other containers full of clipped bits as well. Not to mention all the complete models in there. Ideally, i'd like to sell this stuff with all of my White Dwarfs as well, just to keep everything together in one big lot.
So would anyone think about picking something like this up?

if u were to try and catalog approximately what you have it would go a lot further in selling it off
Lowest rating ships first even from payments
40k is NOT chess! It's yatzee... Roll more dice and roll higher and you win!
Leave feedback. It helps build the BT community. It's the polite thing to do. If I owe you a ref - please PM with details so I can fix that oversight.

I'm really not looking to split the lot into chunks, but i've got an entire Delaque gang, and a Spyrer gang. Bounty Hunters, and various other models (Orlock and Escher i know for sure).Stonedog wrote:I'm interested in the Necromunda stuff.....

Yeah, that thought had crossed my mind too....it's just such an intense undertaking i was kinda hoping to avoid it. Haha.EZ mac wrote:if u were to try and catalog approximately what you have it would go a lot further in selling it off

Maybe go thru and break it into "bigger lots" .. "This bin here is for anything 40k... this one over here is for Necromunda... this garbage bag is for WHFB.. "
then, once the big pile has been codified, that might make things easier to look at.
Of course, if you were local to me I could help you in person.. lol
Which brings up an idea.. do you have a gaming buddy you could prevail upon to help sort? Maybe offer him some parts to gain assistance?

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.
If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.
I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

Re: Gauging interest / asking opinions.
Honestly, that's a lot of models, and there are only a few on here that could afford such a large lot. Breaking them into more meaningful "lots" would probably go a long way towards getting rid of them. Catalog them and put them up in the different trade sections, you can cut and paste the list.
I mean, you are going to have to catalog them at some point if you hope to get anything out of them. The few that could afford such a huge lot are cut back even further for the ones that are willing to fork out that kind of dough with only a vague idea of what they are getting.
Just an opinion, you know everybody has one.

Lower rating? I ask that you ship first. Also, if I offer a stupidly good deal and you try to negotiate even lower...don't call it bad communication that you didn't get a reply. I deleted the message.

if u felt like sending me the lot i could do it... given that i get to choose a certain percentage of the parts or get a amount of cash once u sold it.

Re: Gauging interest / asking opinions.
The least labor intesnsive way to get rid of them is too put them into piles on a table, take pictures and post it all in the trade section. This might not get you as much as you might like but I'm sure if people can get the general idea of what you have they will make offers. Seilling it all in one bunch is again easier but will probably net you less return unless you get lucky and somebody has interest in every item in the pictures. I see your point that you don't want to be bothered with the undertaking of dividing it all up so some decent pics will go a long way.
The believer is happy, the doubter is wise.

Yeah, i think after hearing it a few times, cataloging and semi-detailing what i've got is going to be inevitable.
And sadly, i don't. I just moved up to this area, and don't really have a feel for the gaming community yet. Another reason for me to be selling what i've got.

Heck, I'm in Woodbridge, and would be happy to help catalogue stuff, gives me first pick too...................
Seriously, if you need some help, drop me a line. Just did it for another guy that wound up with his deceased friends collection. (Anybody looking for a large lot of Catachans?).

Re: Gauging interest / asking opinions.
I for one am always looking for reasonable bits lots.
I would suggest breaking them up into either large lots by genre, or ideally, by army.
PM me if you get something posted and I'll be happy to make an offer!

If the quality was there and the price was right, I may be interested in the lot.

You'll do best (money-wise) to simply sort by army and sell Ziploc bags of stuff.HorrorShow wrote:Would there be any interest in buying out an entire 15 years' worth of bits from someone? That said, if you just want to unload the pile, I'll pay you $5 over actual shipping for the entire lot (keep the WDs, tho).HorrorShow wrote:So would anyone think about picking something like this up?
