The models are great, all but the minotaurs they look stupid as usual (man cows HA) doom bull 41 bucks (HA).
the new razor pig is rather lame aswell, but the good news is it can gobble up a knight and horse in no time, maybe its handyness can get it a date

The ungors, gors, beastigors look awesome, the new centigor single is very nice. the prices arent as bad on these.

wish they would have plasticed up the
-centigors(need better weapons and overall choices),
-chaos ogres(weapon choice and mutations plz
-dragon ogres(needs not look dumber thats for sure
-pestigors(needs diversity in form and weapons)
-khorngors(same)
-plastics would have been super special awesome.

Anybody want to quickly drop an opinion on the book compared to the last edition? or just rate the new book for effectivness against other armies?

also the orc boy models need an upgrade 2 years ago. the weapons are lame looking not orcish at all .

after looking at the website i noticed they dropped the chaos ogres, trolls, dragon ogres, shaggoth pestigors and khorngoes, but why are the chaos spawn still there? the giant makes sense

so i take it warriors of chaos will be the next upgrade fantasy book any knowledge on this?

i wanted beastmen in my chaos mortals army, -go pestigor -on khorngors, new plastics hopefully

Warriors of Codex just got their new book in late 2008. Not likely to see another anytime soon.

I don't think you are ever going to see a mix of Chaos Mortals, Chaos Daemons and Beastmen in the same codex again. The armies have been split.

I miss the good ole days when the Chaos army book had: Chaos Warriors, daemons, and Beastmen in the same book. And the Chaos 40k codex had daemons and chaos warriors in the same book.

Just like they did to the Skaven this army book completely changes this faction.

This Beastman codex is IMO pretty good.

They have brought out new abilities that we havent seen before. That will completely change the whole meta-game of Fantasy. The Cygor is AMAZING, this guy will change most tournament builds just because seeing him he is a possibility. He has the possibility of causing ALOT of miscasts. Also the Jaberslyth and Ghorgon AMAZING. I feel that the troops choices for this army are a little lacking but the special and rare choices really make up for their deficiencies.

Bestigors - Despoilers ability captured standards count towards combat res...and stack. Game changing!!!
Minotaurs - Get a +1 combat res for each round of HtH that they win. Very nice, but if you do not win in the first round there is something wrong.
Ambush was nerfed.

All in all I think this army will stand up to the rest of the other armies but will not dominate them or be be dominated. I think there is some interesting tricks that I haven't figured out yet and, maybe some of the stuff that looks good on paper may not play out as well as I think. It is a balanced army, there are a few things that I wish they would have done differently, but in the end I am happy.

Power of army 7.5/10 (Has some nice tricks but not over or under powered.)

Personally i like the new minotaurs.

I am looking forward to picking up my copy of the book...unfortunately this blizzard is disrupting that.

The new Minotaur plastics are terrible. 3 for $41 !! Rip off!! You get 6 Ogres for less.
