I've recently aquired several Tau vehicles of the "Devilfish" chasis. However none of the "instructions" show
what flight stem is to be used on those vehicles.
For anyone who has built them is it supposed to be the short stem or long stem.
I'm asking as I'm magnetizing the bases and want the vehicle to be at the appropriate hight

Re: Tau Vehicles
I've had a few in the past. I beleive they use the small ones, as they are only hovering a few feet above the ground.
I follow the idea LOWER references ships/pays first. It keeps things safer for anyone, as I would never desire to have to start over again. Nor would I want to loose the trust of any fellow gamers. That is how I ended up with my reference collection! I always follow through with my deal!

yep./. they skim the ground like the Eldar.. I used the short pole .. except for the 2 that I modeled with landing gear down.

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Re: Tau Vehicles
its actually your preference, there is no restriction on which flight stand you use.
just keep in mind that if you use the taller one you might be able to draw line of sight under the skimmer.

*notes about trading with me…
I do not like drawn out deals. Id like to have a deal signed and complete within 48 hours.
I abide by the unwritten rules… lower rating ships first pays first.
I always provide delivery confirmation and expect the same.
All deals are US only.

Re: Tau Vehicles
Well so far I've modeled both size flight stands, The tall one seems a bit to tall for the transport. However the short one just does not do the "skimming" justice if the landing gear is down, in my oppinnion.
My trades came with both short and tall stems.
The short stem still gives decent clearence as loing as the models are not directly in line with the target, you can easily see under the drone docks and engine pods. I'll just have to make sure that the kneeling firewarriors all come out the back of the Devilfish for the Fish of Fury tactic

In 5th edition 40k, you can draw LOS under the skimmer regardless, I believe.usernamesareannoying wrote:its actually your preference, there is no restriction on which flight stand you use.

No True Line of Sight is just that, if you cant see under the skimmer you cant fire through it. If you want to fire under a skimmer you need to get it up on the higher flying base.themailedfist wrote: In 5th edition 40k, you can draw LOS under the skimmer regardless, I believe.
