Hello there!
I was advised to go here for selling/buying Warhammer 40k. But before I start selling, or considering selling rather, I would like a price guide for my items. I do not know if this is acceptable or if I am in the wrong subforum. If this is against the rules or I am in the wrong subforum, please notify me and I will edit this post.
I bought these when I was around 10 to 12 years old, and I haven't touched them for 4+ years. I pretty much quit the Warhammer 40k because as a 10-12 year old, I couldn't understand how to play well and the painting was hard for me. I do not know any of the Warhammer language, so please bare with me while I try to describe my items.

On to the Warhammer 40k items of mine!
1) I have this big starter box (I assume it is that - it isn't labeled). [2003 manufactured]
-1 general rule (close to mint condition)
-10 Space Marines (the black type, so Chaos?, painted poorly [again I was 10-12 years old])
-1 Land speeder (assembled, just the Marines are painted)
-20 Dark Eldar (no idea what type, all painted poorly and/or assembled poorly)
-Terrain (2 ruined buildings, 4 jungle trees, assorted barricades - still on the sprues )
-Ruler, dice, and weapon templates (I assume just the standard)
-2 card play sheets & beginner guide
2) Space Marines Starter Paint Set [2003 manufactured]
-5 Space Marines (blue type, painted poorly)
-Paint set guide for Space Marines
-Sticker sheet (called Transfer sheet I believe)
-6 Citadel paints (used) & 1 Citadel paintbrush
3) 13th Company Storm Claws [2003 manufactured]
-1 assembled (not spraypainted)
-9 not assembled
-Sticker sheet
4) Misc. items
-4 bases (not sure on mm, probably 25 though)
-6 paints
-spraypaint and glue

If you could price each item individually that would be great (ex. the 20 Dark Eldars), however any prices would help. I was advised to separate all the parts (meaning the first general box should be divided into Space Marines, Dark Eldars, Terrain, and Misc.)

Again, if this is not acceptable or in the wrong subforum, please notify me and I will change my post. Thanks to all those who help me.

I suggest going to the Games Workshop site and looking for like items. Most the time things go for 25% or more off retail. Items sell better with pictures, google whatever for reference.

All that being said I might be interested in the 13th Company Storm Claws!

I can help you out a little on some of these.. and as always here, your Mileage MAY Vary!

This is the 3rd edition Starter Set. It retailed for $50 in 2003, and you might be able to get 50%-100% of that value now.. but always subtract some for paint job. Still on sprue items hold value better than assembled and painted. From what I remember, the Terrain and Landspeeder are the 2 "Big Value" items from that box.. but that is subjective. You might get 10-12 bucks each for them.

2) Space Marines Starter Paint Set [2003 manufactured]
-5 Space Marines (blue type, painted poorly)
-Paint set guide for Space Marines
-Sticker sheet (called Transfer sheet I believe)
-6 Citadel paints (used) & 1 Citadel paintbrush

If the paints are still useable, then you might be able to get a buck a paint pot for them.. the remainder is not terribly useful

3) 13th Company Storm Claws [2003 manufactured]
-1 assembled (not spraypainted)
-9 not assembled
-Sticker sheet

These are plastic, right? They initially cost (I think) $25 for 10, and are close to holding their value now. 13th company was an outdated Space Wolf army, and is not actually legal at the moment, but it is VERY cool though.

4) Misc. items
-4 bases (not sure on mm, probably 25 though)
-6 paints
-spraypaint and glue

see above comment about the paint.. very low value. Items 2 and 4 would fall into the classification (for myself) as "throw in items" to add a little emphasis on a trade.

Without breaking it down, Id say you could get maybe $50 or $60 for the lot. Poorly painted/assembled models are almost worthless. Paints that they dont make anymore dont have alot of value either. once you run out, you have to go to the trouble to match the color. The most valuable items are the landspeeder & bloodclaws. Thats just my opinion.

I would like to thank Grekyllg, porkuslime, and starslayer for their help. I will take everything you guys have said into consideration.
The information was very helpful in general and definetely helped me understand the value of my items as a whole and separately.
Thats pretty funny that my 13th Company Storm Claws aren't legal anymore =p

Ya with the new codex they just pretty much wrote them out..... They are now refered to as a "lost" company that has lost honour or headed toward the side of Chaos. In the new codex they are reduced to about a paragraph.
