Need abit of help with my sisters

I have run into a slight snag while working on my sisters of battle.

I am using a white color for the armour backpacks ,the white has a slight black inked shaddow effect and a bleached bone and chestnut wash hightight,
the cloth areas are a regal blue with slightly lighter and darker highlights and shades
I used gold to pick out all the trim and piping washed over with a watered down chestnut and flesh wash mix

my question is thus,

I have been using bleached bone and white for the guns but Im not sure if that might not be too much white, that being said what would make a good color for the guns with the other colors?

Are you painting the WHOLE gun white or just part of it?
If you're doing the whole gun, it's probably too much. If you're sticking to the decorative bits & doing the rest metallic, it's probably fine.

I do "ceramic" guns as well, as a really hate metallics. Bleached bone with a wash.

You could try Commando Kahki. It goes well with bleached bone and white. Commando Kahki REALLY changes with washes. I use it with Babab black and achieve a very nice color-shadow effect.

Its not that I hate metal guns per say, used a realistic look for my guard and black templar and sort got burnt out so to speak with that style painting 300 tactical marines has that affect, lol, and was trying for something different
