Random Question about my PM Inbox

Post by DenverZeppo »

First, this is the first forum I've EVER been part of that lets me see an entire conversation in an almost G-mail-esque way when I open on of the PMs, and that rocks!

But that leads to this question. I just joined this forum and my PM inbox is already a disaster I can barely keep track of. :)

If I delete older PMs, and just keep the most recent PM from each person that I'm talking to, will the entire conversation still be available to me like it is now, or will each deleted PM disappear from the conversation?

Thanks for the assist.

Each PM you delete, new or old, will disappear from your PM history. If you don't like having lots of PM's in your inbox, you can create folders to put them in. Either way will keep all the information from your PM's. Thanks!

I keep an inbox folder called "delete" and instead of deleting stuff I move it into there, that way the history stays intact, then once I've had a dry spell, maybe 2 weeks without a PM and haven't posted a trade thread in awhile etc I clear it out. I have a seperate folder for useful info I'd like to hold onto for later or potential trades that might be worth revisiting later.

Quoted for genius. Probably the best use of extra folders I've heard to date.

I've got a ton of extra folders for various types of PM's. I use them extensively.

Lower rating? You ship first.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Quoted a second time for genius.

This makes this so much easier!
