Re: 40K Bitz Question for Deathwatch

Post by ancientsociety »

Deathwatch player here (Inquisimunda-wise, not the RPG, though I've read through the rulebook)

As mentioned, the best thing to do is buy the Deathwatch bitz pack (it really is a nice pack, well worth the extra money) and either a Command Squad or a Tactical Squad box.

There are numerous bitz services where you can get any extra bitz you need (Heavy Bolter & backpack, for example). Check out BitzBarn, Bitsandkits.co.uk, & Bitzbox.co.uk - all much cheaper than BW Bitz.

The best thing to do, if you want the PCs to be able to change/upgrade their weaponry, is to order a couple round neodynium/ "rare earth" magnets, cut all the hands off, drill out each wrist/hand combination, and then arm appropriately.

Storm Wardens are the Highland Scots of the Space Marine world. When they become Astartes, Storm Wardens generally fashion an appropriate-sized claymore sword for themselves. So, yes, the Emperor's Champion sword would be perfect.
Trading Guidelines:
1. Lower rating ships first - even if I am purchasing.
2. If you agree to buy something, you have 72hrs. in which to pay. If payment is not received in 72hrs., I will automatically post a Non-Payment/Backout thread.
3. Refs are left upon positive receipt of goods, NEVER beforehand!
4. I accept Paypal & USPS money orders and charge for shipping AT COST. I make no profit from it.
5. I trade NIB/new models at retail.
