Is there a market for Warzone minis?

Post by GearHead »

There's a royal crapload of Warzone minis in the used bin at the FLGS, and I'm contemplating gathering them all up, taking pictures, and seeing who'll offer what for the lot.

If this sounds like something worth pursuing (they take up a lot of space in the bin), lemme know and I'll talk to the store owner!
A few trade guidlines:
1) If your feedback is significantly lower, I expect you to ship first, even if I'm buying- Money carries greater risks than minis: I can't buy groceries with a box of Tac Marines!
2) Communication is key! I'm a reasonable guy (I try,) so if there's a problem, tell me!
3) I package things well, you should do the same. Protect minis from each other, too.
4) Leave feedback!

I'd be wary of it, depending on how much you have to pay for them. I lost my pants on my Warzone figs (still in blister).

Well, I'd have to know what people would be willing to spend before I actually bought them, and even then it wouldn't be to make much of a profit; just to get them out of the bins and to someone who'll use them.

Given that they're all in the discount bin (and not moving), that should probably tell you something about their current market... ;)

Any Negatives or Neutrals? *You* ship first, regardless of rating!

Most of the store's patrons are pretty particular about what they buy, so oftentimes things hang out in the bin largely because there's not a store-specific local market for 'em. Hence my asking around here.

Anyway, for those who've pm-ed me expressing interest, I should have them all picked out and photographed in a week or so.

As others have said, they can be used in 40k for different stuff. I myself have one of the really tall guys with the horned helmet, pointy finger and gatling arms (gatling arm removed and replaced with a spear arm with big glove from another in the range) converted to a terminator lord for chaos and have one of the armored flag carriers in my chaos as well.
Also like others have said, people like to be able to "see" what they are getting in order to come up with the ideas for conversions.
Pictures are a good idea. Maybe try to find online pictures of the stuff to snag and use rather then just using ones in the packs.
Treat other members with the same dignity, respect and honesty you would like to be treated with.

Well, again, my plan is to photograph everything. They're all loose, BTW.

Okay, they've all been picked out and photographed. There's over 270 minis in that pile!
