Also, while Marines can fill virtually any role on the battlefield, Orks are an assault army. They couldn't hit a tank in shooting if they were standing next to it. So if you want a shooty army you're going to want Marines. Not that you can't do a shooty Ork army. Lootas are pretty good, but Orks and shooting are something where you need luck on your side.

Ork shooting hits on 5+.
Marine Shooting hits on 3+.
Honestly, if you'r thinking about these 2 armies, I'd suggest doing some research on the pros & cons of each before choosing.
For Orks:

Find out the pros & cons of each before deciding.

well i want to go with space marines but have the orks codex and have some orks comeing soon so if any buddy have an SM army for orks i would happyly do it for a trade
