Looking for some history on a mini...

I have recently acquired a "Cypher, the Fallen Angel" mini. I was just wondering from what years this guy was produced. When was he deemed "Out of Production"? Can DA players still field him, or no?

The last set of rules I have that were released for this mini. Cypher is a character for Chaos marine and Imperial Guard armies. Seems like an easy way to field a squad of marines (fallen angels) with your guard force. He is in no way an available character for a Dark Angel army.

I know people that would use their Dark Angels models and include Cypher but with Chaos Marine codex rules.

His backstory is awesome.

Released in Spring 1999, debuted in White Dwarf 231.

When was he deemed "Out of Production"?

He's still available from GW's website: look under Chaos Space Marines in the Collector's section.

His most recent set of rules were for the 13th black crusade, but I believe he was first brought up (as a special character with rules) in the 2nd edition chaos codex.
