[Another User] and I agree to trade his Tau for my Eldar. We negotiate what we're trading specifically, we negotiated shipping terms with me shipping first then he would ship since he had a higher rep than me.
On the day I shipped my army with fedex I noticed that I had forgotten the Codex that was supposed to go with it. Later THAT DAY I shipped it through USPS but I never got a tracking # because it was just the codex and wasn't with the 700$ army I sent him with tracking. The day I shipped the codex was the 1st of june and he claims he still hasn't gotten it. I have offered to paypal money since i didn't get a tracking # and USPS could have lost it.
When he shipped his stuff however he also forgot a broadside battlesuit and 26 kroot models (2 hounds)
He said he was going to ship on monday the 15th w/ a tracking number but so far I have received nothing about that yet.
I'm not sure whats up with what has become a mess of what was a great transaction so I need help on what I can do and what are my options.

I see that you've already left positive feedback for him saying that the trade went through smoothly. Why did you do that if your end was missing stuff? Or had you already done a previous trade with this individual?

Have you sent him a PM since the 15th? Do you know if he's read it? (Has it moved from your Outbox to your Sent messages folder? If not he hasn't read it yet.) If you haven't sent him any communications I'd try at least once more.

Have you sent him money for the missing codex yet? If not, I'd hold off on that obviously. If you have sent the money you potentially have the makings of a bad trader report, but I'd be interested in hearing about the reasoning behind that positive reference first.

Ok before I got the main box of tau he had messaged me saying that he had forgotten the broadside(like a good trader would do) and was going to send it and when I received it I knew I was missing that but since I don't play tau and my brother does I didn't check the box and my brother did(he knew what he was getting) I posted the reference before I received the broadside because he said he was sending it the next day so I assumed with his rating he would and now with the kroot added to the broadside it has become the mess. I probably was <not smart> with posting so early but this was basically my first trade and I was probably over anxious and will come back to haunt me.

He said this on the 16th "Holy Crap dude I am so sorry I just found the Kroot I really am sorry I will ship it asap and give you a tracking number. I still haven't got the codex though." Yesterday again I asked him about the codex and I still have the offer to pay but I don't know. USPS might have shipped it but without the tracking # I can't do anything about it which was my mistake again

Well, it sounds to me as though he's holding the Tau until he gets the codex and not telling you. Obviously, I don't know this for sure, but you might want to try communicating with him again and asking him what's up. Be polite and ask if he's received the codex yet and, if not, is he actually holding onto the Tau until he gets the codex?

Yesterday I had asked about him receiving the codex but that message is still in my outbox and today I just sent him one asking wht you said if he was going to ship them after he got the codex.

I don't know if this will help but I found the receipt with the info on it of me sending it to him on the 1st. It doesn't have tracking on it since I did not get it for the codex

Well, the receipt is a good start.

Do you have his email address? If so, have you tried emailing?

No I don't have his e-mail and I still have 2 recent messages to him in my outbox
