I'd drop it and find someone else.

However, you could give him one last ultimatum telling him to produce some proof of shipment or your going with someone else.

I will say this, it doesn't take something 20 days to get from the UK to the US by Royal Air mail. If he sent it by ground, you could be waiting months because it's on a ship somewhere.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

At this point, if I were you, I'd simply open a Backout / BTR specifically because he claims to have shipped. That means that he did *NOT* cancel. Ergo, he has waived the right to cancel the trade, and this is an active trade.

I wouldn't cut him any slack whatsoever, precisely because his additional special rule means that he clearly understands Btown convention and expectations. Therefore, if he claims to have shipped, then he should have done so. That means that he should have proof of postage.

In the BTR / Backout, I would demand that he post proof of postage.

I would defer Feedback for the moment, as it is entirely possible (but extremely unlikely - <1% chance) that he actually did ship, and things are just hung up in the system. If he has proof of shipping, depending on how things go, I'd consider Good, but strongly consider Neutral as a warning to other traders. If he doesn't have proof of shipping, and arrives eventually, then we're probably talking Neutral. If he's been lying the entire time, I'd Neg him *HARD*.

I agree with John. I'd open a backout, (probably not a bad trader thread as you're not out anything,) and post all the details. Then wait on the feedback for a couple weeks.

Drop it for now.
Get home, check and see what's up.

If you don't have them THEN... worry about considering a backout. Give him the opportunity, at that point, to prove he's shipped, though.

Lower rating? You ship first.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.
