so im new to b-town! and i LOVE IT!
im a 40k gamer, but im in deserate need of a car. so unfortunatly im selling alot of my stuff. now. i have recently been givng freebies with my sales (like novels and stuff). now a recent trader has gotten my stuff and "claims" it is broken. except i find it hard to belive becos i wrapped it up bubble wrap and put it in a flex envelpe and everything! i even shook it a round a little bit and threw it on the ground a little bit to make sure they were complately safe!
basicly now the guy said he would keep the books and then send me the "broken" models back. now is this a common practice on b-town or what?
need a little help!

Sometimes things do happen like that.
If you are really worried, you should ask for pictures of the broken models. Also ask for a picture of the envelope.
HOWEVER.. this statement "becos i wrapped it up bubble wrap and put it in a flex envelpe and everything! i even shook it a round a little bit and threw it on the ground a little bit to make sure they were complately safe!" really worries me.
If you were sending metal models, dissassembled, inside a bubble envelope they MIGHT be alright. If you are sending plastic bits on sprue in a bubble envelope... they might be alright.
Sending Assembled Metal Or Plastic Models in a bubble envelope that you admit to throwing on the ground.. Is NOT gonna be an alright way of shipping. Use a BOX!! Wrap the models in bubble wrap, use foam, and a secure box.
Machines that the PO use to sort mail are notorious for ripping enveliopes, crushing contents, yadda yadda....
what did you mail? Were the books LOOSE in the envelope and likely to shift and crush the figures?
Did YOU take pictures of the models before you packed them? Is there any way for you to verify what they looked like when they left your control?
Knowing you are a new trader and wanting to make a good start on trading here.. you probably shipped first, yes? If so, the trade partner is perfectly in the right to return models that he is not happy with. Keeping the freebie books and not paying for what he is keeping is a bit low, though.. if he is keeping anything then I think you should get some form of payment..

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

Your packaging does sound suspect, depending on what you sent.
If he is sending the broken models back, then he should also send the books back also. They were part of the deal, even though they were a "freebie". They were there to entice him into the deal. Do you get to keep the free DVR if you drop your cable service? No, you have to pay for it or send it back.
