B-town folks,
If you list something as 'complete', please be sure you're being accurate. If you have a doubt as to the completeness of what you're offering, refer to Definition #1 in the following link:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/complete
Some traders won't care if (for example) if a Space Marine Terminator Sprue is missing a bling-bling bit, others will. If you list something as complete, it should be complete. And it's missing major components, that's a whole different beast.
Example:
For trade:
Space Marine Bikers - complete on sprue
But, there are no bike chassis. Sure, the bikers are complete...but rather less helpful without bikes, or if you play Orks and wanted the bikes for a conversion.
Could the trader wanting the bikers have asked if they were complete? Of course -- and they might want to. But if you're used to trading here, and you're in negotiations with a long-time, well-established trader, you may have built some trust.
Accuracy is important. Building trust is inportant. And, I suppose, not taking things for granted is both necessary and important.
Complete

Oh, LORD, Shiro... PLEASE, tell me someone didn't do that to you (with the bikers).
You have a valid point.
It's even OK (IMO) to FORGET to include things... as long as you make good on what SHOULD be there.
Example:
Recently, I traded some assembled GK termies. Guess what. I didn't remember that they came with the small metal shields, because I don't like the look & never used them.
When the other trader brought it to my attention, I located and shipped them ASAP to make them "complete."
I hope your trade that inspired this thread ends up similarly.
Eric

Lower rating? You ship first.
Give me a sense of humor Lord. Give me the grace to see a joke.
To get some humor out of life and pass it on to other folk.
I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Want my help with a BTR or backout? All messages sent/posted should be in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Otherwise, I just won't read it.

It did, but not with the example bikers. Riders/mounts similarity exists.MagickalMemories wrote:Oh, LORD, Shiro... PLEASE, tell me someone didn't do that to you (with the bikers).
I also have no problem with this. Traders working together to fix legitimate problems in a negotiation is what makes this place work.MagickalMemories wrote:You have a valid point.

That would be nice.MagickalMemories wrote:I hope your trade that inspired this thread ends up similarly.
