Please remember to also leave your trade partners a good reference using the "Post a Reference" tab at the top of the page.

Just to emphasize what Ironhide is saying, leave an official reference! This forum is great to tell people of good traders, however you only get a small sampling of a trader's worth by scrolling down the page.
Your reference score is the currency that we as prospective traders use to determine how you may handle a deal. References from another site only show how you have handled a deal there, and even though that does have some merit, it's just not the same. Your Bartertown feedback helps the community as a whole. The more people use it, the better it is for everyone on the site.
So, like Ironhide said, take a minute, go to the tab, and leave a reference for your trading partner.

Also--this forum is primarily for users who go above and beyond. It is NOT the primary place to leave references or to investigate a trader's credibility.

I have had three trades and they all posted "good" references. Why do I not see a number after my nom-de-plume?
Scrap that. When I saw it posted- I saw the numbers. How do you check or verify that they were "good"? I am still a little confused.

Click the number or go to 'Check References' and put your name in.

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but how does the points system work? Petre, for example is at (380), but Wag-A-Tail is at (4). How are these ratings calculated?
