Legendary trader - jmsincla

Should probably use The trade reference system (ITL) but if you want to post something else, do it here.

Legendary trader - jmsincla

Post by melquisedeq »

Just wanted to let my fellow bartertownsfolk know of a trader whose generosity and commitment to a good trade shine like a bat-shaped beacon of awesome through the stank, crime-ridden smog that is the world of miniature transactions.
Here's why:

Josh Sinclair (a.k.a. jmsincla, a.k.a. Santa, a.k.a. the thinking man's Jesus, among other alias) had several old-school miniatures for sale.

After he dilligently provided me pictures of most of his stash, I decided on about a hundred dollars worth of miniatures that he priced at just 65$.

He then went to the post office to inquire about intercontinental p&p values (likely carried there on the wings of a mighty dragon), that turned out to be a bit more than I could pay.

He offered to return there in order to research cheaper shipping options (risking to abuse his dragon's trust, as well as the impatience of the two supermodels he no doubt had waiting for him in his bed), and managed to offer me half of the original shipping costs.

At the time I suffered a minor setback to my finances and Josh agreed to hold the stuff till the end of the month (which is when most people get paid here in Europe).

When all was good to roll, I sneakily asked Josh to declare only the shipping values, so I wouldn't be charged excessive custom fees.

Unable to perpetrate even the slightest of offenses because of his unbreakable moral fiber, Josh politely declined my diabolical plan thus saving his soul.

I then suggested that we took some of the items off my wants list in order to keep it under the customs flag value of 20 something dollars, and Josh countered with "screw that, i'll just send you the lot in two 24$ packages".

So he refused to keep some of the figs for future trades, and instead offered to send the same hundred something dollars lot for 48$, where half of it was shipping.

In the meanwhile I got my figures, all extremely well packed, in individual zip bags.

That's when I noticed: still not happy with his already established greatness of character, Josh had actually sent MORE figures than I asked, bringing a tear to my eye and inspiring me to write this epic poem of his heroic deeds.

So trading with Josh is not only positively recommended, but should also be mandatory.
Thanks a lot, Josh. You're a true ROCK STAR!

The subject - Josh Sinclair currently resides in Columbus, Indiana, where he helps his fellow men achieve nirvana after having refused to transcend himself (just 'cause he could).
He is a playboy billionaire, a miniature enthusiast and, secretly, a secret agent. He is the likely author of several positive endeavors often credited to other people, like the invention of penicillin and gunpowder, mapping the human genome, Michael Jackson's "Thriller", the exorcism of both Regan MacNeil AND Linda Blair, fathering Chuck Norris and Angelina Jolie's twins, the industrial revolution, the Bible (intended as a satire of the human condition), the Big Mac and the Whopper, non-addictive vitamin-rich cocaine, and 82% of the Kama Sutra.
