Formations & frontage of models

I have a copy of the large size rules, not the mini book.
I know there used to be minimums and maximums of frontage, number of models in a line; as well as minimun and maximum for depth bonuses.

Armies like Skaven & O&G need these just to stay alive.

I have the possibilit of play my WoC army this weekend and can't find the sizes of formations.

Depending on time, I'll try to play a couple games, not just all WoC foot with mounted knights as cheese.

I actually hae enough models to have an all marauder army.

Whats the formations for cavalry as well as foot? I have about 18 warhounds too. ;-)

I make my own movement trays from corragated cardboard and need to make sure I have enough at the correct size & shape.

Thanks.

5 wide gives you the ability to have rank bonuses. 10 wide gives you a horde (extra rank of attacks). Most people I see run chaos warriors as 6 wide, and X deep (so 18 would be 6 wide, 3 deep). If you have 40 marauders, you can run them 5 wide, 8 deep - giving thema lot of ranks, fighting with 10, and being stubborn (due to more ranks than opponent). Or, run them 10 wide and 4 deep, so you still get a +3 rank bonus, but you have the possibility of 30 of them fighting (front rank as normal, +1 supporting attack from rank 1 + 1 supporting attack from rank 3 for a horde). Both have their advantages, depending on who you are fighting, and how they have their army set up.

Probably 2 weeks too late for you, but yes - Cav follows all the same rules for support attack.

Yes, late, but I didn't get to play then. Maybe this weekend.

Thanks.
