Empire Wizard Advice Needed

Good day,

I recently decided to get into Fantasy (along with my son) and am working on two armies.

I pretty well have them planned out but I need some advice on what types of Empire Wizards I should build.

I have an Empire Wizard Box set plus the Celestial Hurricanum / Luminark of Hysh kit.

I think a bright Wizard is a must but I need advice on the other 2 that I can build.

I don't plan on running a Wizard Lord so I can build either a Celestial or a Light wizard from the Celestial Hurricanum / Luminark of Hysh kit. Which one would be better?

Any advice on which other wizard to make from the box set would be most appreciated, a quick reason as to why and which parts to use from Wizard Kit would be fantastic as well.

I appreciate any and all feedback.

Thank you,

I plan on using the luminark. To me, it seems more consistent, and I like the in-game benefit a bit better. The bolt thrower spell rocks, IMO. And you can always use it as a Lore of Light Lord if you want.

As far as the other wizards, it really depends. If you fight Chaos Mortals quite a bit, Metal is your best bet. The ability to wound Chaos knights on a 2+ roll, and they get no armor saves, cannot be beat. Death has Purple Sun, another brutal spell if you can get it off. Life really helps keep things alive and strong. Fire is great for armies with lots of regeneration. Beasts is cool if you get a 6, and want a reason to but a cool dragon or chimera. Taking a 100 point level 2 wizard, and changing him into the complete bad-butt of a chimera can be very effective.
