Good day Bartertown!

So what is needed for someone to be refereed to as a super hero? What are your favourite super heroes?

Supernatural abilities. Or, I guess, a super-theme. These are loose, and can be meta. Batman doesn't have any as the most famous example, but as soon as you get him in a crossover, you realize his super power is having none. I'd argue that Captain America's is teamwork (which is more fun to say "leadership"), despite being a supersoldier with a magic shield. Superman's is as much being an icon of the american immigrant as much as he's a super-alien.

That, and a costume/main identifying aesthetic, and doing good in some form (Booster Gold stretches the limits of a lot of super hero definition, despite being clearly one...)

I'm not sure I have a favorite from the mainstream, though Batman's had some of the best stories. Outside of it in the still-mostly-available, the Doom Patrol and the Watchmen are almost certainly my favorites. Robotman and Rorschach would be my favorites there, so I guess I like the ones with more pathos?

I like heroes with odd power sets. My favorite team is Alpha Flight, there is a decent mix of oddness there.
