What the COIN?

So I was rummaging through my hobby room when I came across these coins. I can only assume they are from one of our family friends when I was younger and happened to be put into a box of mine. So I ask you Bartertowners, does anyone recognize these? It's the same on either side and looks like maybe a casino or slot machine looking coin. Some sort of language or word is spread across the coin.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like Japanese Katakana for the language.

Found this forum that features a similar coin and the opinion was it was a gambling token as you suspect:

Thanks, that helps a lot. I have no clue why they were in my box lol. Maybe I can find out exactly what it is/where it's from with that knowledge!

After doing some searching the closest I could find that matched the writing was

トツプワソ

which translates to

to tsu pu wa so

now to find a translator that supports Katakana to english!

EDIT: So the full translation is Totsupu~waso

Buuut, I cannot find a translation further than that.

Hey there,
Sorry for the slight threadromancy, but I have some answers.
The coin actually says toppu wan which would be the Japanese way to write top won.
They are in fact tokens for an arcade or panchinko parlor. I used to use something very similar in the arcade near my house when I lived in Japan. I couldn't tell you what part of Japan or what arcade in particular they came from, though.
Hope that helps.

LOL thanks! I added them to my weird box... A box of weird stuff I've collected over the years. The info on them is very helpful :)
