Other then broken models...

What are the most annoying trading irritations that just get under your skin?

For me it's poster tack. Models put together with it drive me batcrap crazy. You can never get it all off, it always gets in the least convenient places and it never fails to screw up actual gluing attempts.

#1- Not responding to messages. It only takes a moment and is just a matter of courtesy.

#2- Mystery hairs and odors when I open a package. Apparently there are people who are ape-like in their hairyness, and run around naked in their homes while packaging up models for me. I have probably received close to a pint of hair in my time here. Armpit hair, beard hair, cat hair, pubes...ick. Often these hairy treats are accompanied by a gust of cigarette breath aroma or cat uriney awfulness.

As you can see, I rate "no replies" as more annoying than hairs n' stink.

Yeah I would have to agree with these two for sure. I have seen some miniatures that need to be stripped while not having any paint on them. lol

If I were add something to the list, though it ties into the broken model, I would say that it bothers me when the box is not sealed properly and things fall out of it in shipping. I wont go into details, but this very thing has caused over 400 dollars in damage of miniatures being sent to me.

If you are worried if this applies to you, much like the above poster said about taking a moment, it only takes a few zip lock bag to hold the floating bits and free pieces loose in the box. It is not wise to wrap in a paper towel and expect that to last through shipping, same thing with blisters of pewter miniatures... put a rubber band around it or something for example so they do not pop open while being shipped and spill out all over the box. heh Heck even a little bit of extra tape on the edges of the box rather than simply wrapping a 2 inch wide strip of tape across most of it helps greatly.

/looks for something tasty to drink...

If I found a pube hair on a mini that was shipped to me, I would probably just toss the box.

I truely don't want to think that my trade with someone excited them so much they couldn't keep their hands out of their pants while trying to get the darn thing out to me...

Slow shipping. I just paid over $1000, you can take the time to pack everything up and ship it in a reasonable amount of time. I don't want to hear the excuses. :)

I'd also like to add poor gluing to my list. Seriously. How do so many people not have ANY idea how to glue a model together.

Also I'd like to take a moment to thank whatever dark gods watch over my trade transactions that I have never received hairy models. Cig. smelling ones, yeah, but no hair.

Aside from what's already been mentioned; shipping in GW boxes.
Really, people. These things are thin and flimsy. Don't pack stuff in them and expect there to be any protection. We're lucky it even survived the shipping process.

Also, wrapping your boxes in paper is a bad idea, unless you also cover EVERY INCH of it in packing tape to protect it. If that paper gets the tiniest rip in it, it can get stuck in the USPS machines. They'll rip the paper off of the box, making it undeliverable (unless you also put the recipient address on the inside but, if you're newb enough to wrap the box in paper, you probably didn't think of that) and can also jam up the machine, grinding the whole shipping process in the building to a halt.

Heh. Guilty. :(

I'll also go with failure to accurately describe. Nothing worse than ending up with something you didn't want or wouldn't have bought if the buyer had described it correctly.

I have to say that after cutting my beard after letting it grow for almost a year I have a new perspective on what I always assumed were pubes in my boxes. It's sort of a joke with all of my gamer friends that if you didn't get a pube in your box you just didn't look hard enough. With that being said I have to wonder now if most of them aren't simply beard hairs, because let's face it gamers are disproprtionately hairy compared to the average population. I'm not saying it's always the case, or for the germaphobes out that that it's much better but I think a lot of "pubes" might be cases of mistaken identity.

As to stuff that bugs me I hate when people don't list their location and oyu find out they are not in the US. Shipping outside the US just isn't worth it to me.
Also the recent trend of relative new people who state in their ads that they won't ship first because "they've been burned before". Guess what? I don't care if you've been burned before or not. I guess you should've chosen to trade with somebody with a high rating rather than some other newb who ripped you off. But for the added security my higher rating affords to you, you have to be willing to ship first, end of discussion.

Holy crud yes. I'm selling D&D books right now and the prices are insane for Canada.

Heh. I had a guy tell me he only ships second no matter what on trades. That changed real quick.
