This may just be me going on a small rant but does anyone else hate it when you see an ad of something you think you'll want and then the poster says "Painted/Well Painted/Pro Painted/etc" but doesn't include pictures?
Now I can understand sometimes people post ads on their phone or in a hurry or didn't have enough time to take pictures at the time but updating with pictures should be a must. Even if you say "PM for pics".. your going to have to take those pics sooner or later; rather than tons of people asking for pics and having to send the same pictures to people over and over why don't you just post the pictures into the ad or a link to a photo sharing website? I don't know about some people but when I see "Pro Painted" or "Well Painted" and no pictures are supplied I tend to not even bother with the ad as I feel they are trying to hide the true painting job of the models. Could just be me. What are other people's thoughts on the matter?

Sure, I want to see a model if it's been painted but I don't think I discount a deal simply because the pictures were "on demand". Of course this is from someone who is guilty of placing models for sale/trade with "pics on request". A lot of the models I trade are painted becuase I love painting them. I can wait for the pictures and respectfully decline if it looks like they were painted with a putty knife.
"Pro painted" has always stuck in my craw though. So if some guy gives me ten bucks to paint his Dv set am I a pro painter? Nah, I think leave the "pro" out of your paint job unless you're gonna hit me with your slayer sword..... Not to say that some people aren't good at what they do but I see to much pro painted on ebay and the like to take it at much more then a whole tub o' salt... It's a good thing I;m such a nice guy because I have wanted to cuss a number of "pro" painters on ebay for the crap they are trying to sell. (sorry for hijacking your thread with my own rant there)
I personally am much more concerned about the build quality on assembled models. Tons of super glue and divots in the plastic from hacking them off sprews is a darn sight harder to fix then some paint.

Lower rating ships first, pays first, or works out a deal that is mutually acceptable to all persons involved.
Don't like my offer, tell me no... I'm all growed up, I can take it.
All offers are good for 24 hours
Gifting a paypal payment is unwise and I won't do it, neither should you....
If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning

Re: Thought about pictures and posts
I understand exactly where you are coming from especially the ebay "Pro Painters". I agree that the assembly and build quality surpasses the paint job (as mostly all paint can be broken down with Simple Green). I don't mean to attack a person for their painting job, its just when you have such a huge ad and most of it is painted your going to get tons of PM's asking about pictures anyways. It's just easier and usually in the sellers best interest to put those pictures or a link to those pictures in the ad to make it easier for the buyers to decide rather than the many PM's back and forth for pictures. Your going to spend more time sending pictures than making deals, especially when you think someone is REALLY interested and after sending the pictures they decided they don't want them, so much hassle for only a slight possibility of a trade. I like seeing the ads that have the pictures as I know straight away, before contacting them, if I am able to use the models, or if I am going to regret trying to strip and clean up. Then from there I can contact them about specifics, maybe a picture of a specific model I want a closer look at.DoggNewTrix wrote:Sure, I want to see a model if it's been painted but I don't think I discount a deal simply because the pictures were "on demand".
