Need input from bloggers

I am looking for some advice/information re maintaining a blog from someone with experience using the offline version of Wordpress to maintain a blog hosted by a third party, like GoDaddy.

Alternatively, I am looking for input from someone with experience with a multiple contributor blog hosted on GoDaddy or similar.

My blog runs on WP and is self-hosted. What did you need to know?

Here's my situation:

We are a coterie writing group of about 6, largely writing for our own and each other's amusement.

We all need to be able to post to the blog, though with different levels of administration, if possible.

We were all using blogspot, hosted on blogspot, but I've been paying for Godaddy hosting for two years (and not using it), and I want to move things over there.

Is such a thing possible using Wordpress (offline)?

Sorry for the delay, forgot to check back.

Yes, totally possible. User accounts are built in and permissions are changeable on every account.
