Howdy!

I’m Chrisinfortmyers and I want to say how glad I am this place is around! I used to be a regular gamer, and got some stuff from B-town back a few years ago. Then the website was gone one day (.org ’04?) Soon after I stopped table top gaming for a few years, and sold my 40k stuff (dumb!)
I recently walked into the local game store, and a lot of my old friends were playing 40k.I got to hang out for a few weekends. Being back in school, semi-unemployed, yada, yada, meant I had no budget for table gaming. So my friends took up a collection of bits and left-overs to get me going again. I wound up with about 700 points of elder and about that much worth of Space wolfies/marines. And a land raider that a few folks had committed surgery on for their own conversions. And a sack of bitz big enough to club a seal with.
Ok, a very small seal.
I’d name; names, but this post is long enough. So thank you to the guilty parties, I have some of the best gamer friends ever! I get home and googled bartertown, just for giggles… *click. HolyCraptackleAwesome, glad to see you around again! I’m pretty sure my old name was chrisinftmyers or some variant thereof. Or maybe skippy, or tychus, my eve online name. Crap, the rum has taken out that brain cell. Is there any way to view a cache of the old names? Does it matter?
Edit: After spending some time looking thru member names and failing to find mine, i selected check references -> real name -> Chris Hauser. BINGO! Well, i had 5 trades. Is there any way i can link then to now, as it were? And i'm reasonable sure i didn't do that trading in 1996. That must be a default database "out-of-range" date.
Anyway, the best trade I ever had in b-town was with a guy who sent me a brown cardboard box with a couple of metal renegade legion tanks, a crapload of battlemech parts, and the parts to make 8 (!) Karnov Urs , and a couple of clan fighters.. A lot of local B-tech players were VERY happy with me.
So I’ll be on the hunt for eldar and space wolfies, and have lots’ o bitz/old books/ duplicate battlemechs for trade. Happy gaming!
