Hello all. I went and saw alot of the new superhero movies that have been recently coming out. I really enjoyed them. But I have never read any superhero comics really so I couldn't tell what was sticking to the comics or not. Does anybody know how close, Thor, Green Lantern, and Captain America were to the original comics? Was it close? Or was it something like what they did to LOTR and the only thing they kept was the basic premiss. Thanks!

LOTR was pretty close to the books... I few divergences but basically the same.
All the Marvel comic movies are following the Ultimate Universe story lines.

Good day,
I don't know a lot about the Ultimates so I can't comment on the Marvel Movies - except to say I really enjoyed them.
Green Lantern on the other hand was a comic I used to be very much into and I can tell you that the Movie is almost spot on (at least with the origins that I know) - there were a couple of things that were left out but if you have never read the books you wouldn't miss them - I didn't really miss them (though one of them would have been cool to see). I really enjoyed this movie as well.
I have enjoyed every movie I have seen this year and have seen all the ones on my have to see list but one.
Thank you,

LOTR was pretty close to the book I guess, but it definitely had it's problems. That's great! Always glad to see a movie follow it's book. One of my friends was telling me that the Ice Gaints in Thor are just some random pathetic race that were nothing in the books. Any truth to this?
