Origins 2011 is a coming!

hey guys.. anyone in the midwest... not just Ohioans..
Coming up the last week of June is Origins 2011... one of the LARGEST gaming conventions in the USA. Not just Miniatures.. there are RPG, CCG, CMG, Board, Video, Console, and Miniatures of the Sci Fi, Fantasy, and Historical genres..

Now.. the personal bit.. My local club (www.40korigins.com) is running the vast majority of the 40k Events at the Con this year.
We have 4 all-day events, and a host of smaller pick-up events through the whole con..
Thursday - we have a 8 Army challenge - 45 minute games, with fixed forces.. play a game, then move to your left, and play a different army.. prove you know your codexes! Prizes for best win records.
Friday - Pairs Tournament - bring a buddy and a 1k list each, and play against other teams! If you don't have a friend.. we will assign you a friend for the day.. lol - 3 rounds .. prizes for top team scores in games, and painting.
Saturday - Rogue Trader Tournament - 2000 point list, all legal codexes.. This is da Big One! We have serious prize support from GW and other companies.. AND We have 2 Golden Tickets to Vegas Grand Tounament of Skulls for 2012! Top 2 winners get invited to go! (Plus we have nifty prizes which we will announce closer to time)..
Sunday - Finals from the Character Ladder.. Over the course of the prior 3 days, some of the minor events are Character Ladder events.. bring your HQ and duke it out against other HQ units.. earning yourself an invite to the Finals on Sunday. No entry fee on this event.
In addition to these major long term events, we are running numerous clinics on Painting, How to Play 40k, and smaller table scenarios.. IG Gunline vs Genestealers in a Manufactory (last years scenario) for example.. And.. we have an event for kids too (get em started early.. ) Ork Pile (Can your mob of boyz make it out of the junkyard with the most scrap?)
