Star Wars--LaserDisc?

Hey ya'll,

I was watching the most recent DVD release of the Original Star Wars Trilogy (theatrical version--not Special Edition) and the print is just not very good.

I was wondering if anyone had the "Definitive" or other LaserDisc versions, and whether they would recommend them. I would buy a LaserDisc player for this reason alone, if necessary.

I have a good Samsung hi-def TV and a Harman Kardon receiver that I'd be attaching it to.

Recommendations/suggestions welcome!

Hey Sorrow,

I have the LaserDisc versions converted to DVD. There have been a number of Fan projects over the years before the DVD's were out. If you look about here you'll find details:

Oh and if its quality you seek, you might want to hold off... the BluRays are coming soon: http://www.starwars.com/movies/saga/bluraymay4/

The Blu-Rays are apparently going to be Special Edition only, which, for me, is the same as Star Wars not being released on DVD.

As long as Han stomps on Jabba and Greedo shoots first, there is no Star Wars.

You're going to want to hold out for the BluRay-
Jar Jar Binks' son is going to be featured heavily in episode 6.
