Gencon collectables and other ltd ed

I noticed certain sellers on Ebay seem to have an unlimited supply of limited edition miniatures. I've been closely watching (over the months) certain Mailifaux Gencon promos. particularly, Chompy bits and the ltd nurse. Several months ago Lord Chompy bits was going for about $300 and the nurse for about $65. Now the same minis are fetching $180 and $45 respectively. I noticed the same sellers offering these. Question? How do these sellers seem to have so many copies of the same ltd ed mini? Weren't these only handed out at Gencon? Could this be some Wyrd employee with a shoebox full of ltd minis, padding his paycheck by selling them on Ebay? I also noticed that they only sell one at a time to keep the price high. So, are these minis truely ltd. I've been burned, in the past, by so called ltd ed that were later, recast. I was thinking about investing in these two specific minis, but realize that the prices could drop significantly in the months to come.

They may be recasts... Are they offered NIB or are they just loose and assembled?
Maybe someone noticed how much last years LE minis went for and somehow bought a bunch.

The nurses are also randomly placed in boxed sets and people get them.
If you are looking for a Miss Pack, PM me. I have an extra and I'm sure we can work a deal..

If they're new in box with cards, I wouldn't worry.
Might be that the guy knew the deal in advance and bought 50 of them. At $300 a pop, sell 10 and everything else is profit!
Worked for me with the Iron Star Chapbook from Black Library. I bought 6, and 4 of them sold for $75 to $95 each! The fifth went for $50 (was the first I sold) and the 6th went for $60 (was the last I had and had already been read through).

I would hold off. There is rumor within that LCB may, in fact, be re-released at this years Gencon.
