agreed... im not sure how itll sustain itself as a series but i know what im watching tonight.

We had other things going on the DVR at that time, so I'm starting to DVR is at midnight.
I'm waffling on whether to watch it tonight or not. I need to get up early... but I really want to see that darn thing NOW! LOL

Either way, it looks promising. There are quite a few "names" associated with the project.

i was actually pretty surprised at the zombies. some were pretty plain jane human looking but man some were great. the crawler was awesome.
i wonder what the time between him going in to the hospital and waking up was, they never really say.

sucks about his fam though...

There are 6 episodes- more if its picked up. I have the comics, so I know the basics- but its great to see it come to life!

So, I started watching it.
It was horrible. Bad acting, cleap special effects and HORRIBLE scripting.

Oh... and I'm full of crap.


I wasn't prepared for a 90 minute show (thought it was an hour), so I didn't watch the whole thing. I was watching right before bed, and ended up staying up too late.
I've got about a half hour left. Going to go back about 15 minutes or so, though, as I was nodding off a bit, right before turning it off.

What little I've heard of the ratings, though, seems to indicate that it'll get picked back up. It's AMC's highest rated series YET. It got higher ratings than "Mad Men," which is treated as some sort of Godsend.

1) Loved the crawling Zombie

2) I kept wanting to yell at the screen. Even in fictional worlds, it's a safe assumption that they've heard zombie stories. When the black guy sent his son off to change in the police station, I was certain that the kid was a goner. LOL There are RULES to the Zombie Apocalypse. Rule #1 is that you NEVER go off alone!

3) The black guy... can't remember his name... I LOVED him in Jericho. I hope his character is around a lot. I like him, and I like his character in this series.

Lennie James, I think. Sucks we likely won't see more of him, as he was just a special guest. He has a good presence of authority to his characters - very believable as a survivor.

And he is british. Very heavy accent, if you can believe it.

I saw him post-Jericho. He was speaking sans American accent.
I was... dumbfounded.

I'd heard he was British, but that was VERY British. I was expecting, like, just a *litle* British. ; )

Okay.
So, I watched the rest.

I actually laughed out loud when he galloped around that corner to find the hundreds of Walkers there, just meandering around. It was about time, too. With exception of the time he was holed up in the hose with the guy & his kid, I spent much of the movie thinking that there just werent enough zombies around.

Watching the horse get devoured was kind of gruesome.

I'm looking forward to getting to know more about the guy on the other end of the radio

LOL

I also want to see how he manages to get out of that tank.

I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series, and I'm already hoping it gets picked up for another season.
Also... a chance to win a role as a walk-on (shamble-on?) Zombie? Way cool.
