Cornwallis

Post by UrbinoPrince »

Members, you are in the position of General Cornwallis, how would you handle these historic situations? I personally feel that the General made the correct decisions, but it did not work out correctly, certainly not how he planned.

1. Opposing general Greene has split his forces to go after Fort 96 and using the other half to maintain forces in the field, foraging, and keeping the Tories in check. If Cornwallis goes after Greene, Morgan can grab the supplies and reduce the Tories at 96. If Cornwallis goes after Morgan, Greene can grab Camden and maybe even Charleston. General, what do you do?

2. Greene has been defeated at Guilford, but Cornwallis is not in a better position. Supplies are scarce and recruits are not flocking to the King. Cornwallis goes to Wilmington to rebuild, but Greene is positioned to observe and counter all moves. The choices are to retreat back to South Carolina and try to rebuild, knowing that the colonials will rebuild even faster, or to go to Virginia and join with the other King's army to cut off the supplies flowing to Greene's forces. General, what do you do?
