Hey all,

I am new to warmachine/hordes and have started my journey with Legion of Everblight. I have played only a few matches (3 to be exact) with my roommate and another buddy of mine. My roommate runs Khador and so far I have lost every match. I was hoping to get some insight on anti-khador tactics. I have the following Models/Units/Warlocks

Warlocks: pLylyth, eLylyth (shadow of everblight), pThagrosh, Absylonia, Rhyas, Saeryn
Heavies: Carnivean x1, Ravagore x2, Typhon, Angelius x1
Lights: Teraph x1, Bolth thrower x3, Raek x1
Lessers: Shredder x4
Solos: Shephard x2, Forsaken x1, Strider Deathstalker, Annyssa Revaal
Units: Striders/UA, Hex Hunters/UA, Raptors,Warspears, Warmogers

I have only recently received the majority of the listed items and some are still in transit (i.e. Angelius, Ravagore x1, Bolt thrower x2, Warmonger unit, eLylyth)

So far I have played 15pt games and a 25pt game. Any advice will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

What your opponents have or generally run will help. Especially because based on what you have or is in transit I am not seeing why you should be having an issue vs Khador.

Also are you playing scenarios or just caster kill?

Agreed with Tordeck, particularly at the low point values, Legion can skew pretty hard. pThag borders on ridiculous at 15 pts with the ability to feat a 10 point advantage. Not having a Scythean is unfortunate as they do a lot of work. Your army should be faster than the Khador player, so you should have the alpha, which can certainly make a difference.

I think your best option is to forfeit against your genius of a roommate. His battle tactics are scary good...

But aye, two things that always make me go FML when I place down my khador.

Fire and Magic weapons only. Friggin Menoth.

Granted, I usually have Aiyana and Holt around now.

Fire just makes all our single wound infantry cry.

I haven't gone up against menoth yet, but I have heard theyre disgusting!

With two Ravagores, he has the fire part covered lol.

That's why I won't run any infantry! It's all about the heavies!

Almost lost pVlad yesterday to fire and eFeora's firestep. She firestepped into his melee and got him down to 1. Cue Wardog coming in with a countercharge and killing her at Arm 23. ALL HAIL THE WARDOG

Depending on exactly what the Khador player is running (ie, Full WGI Deathstar, IFP, Jack Heavy, etc) I would suggest either of the following 25 pt lists. Thags at this point level is nasty as his feat gets you essentially an extra 10-12 points to play with. Lylyth gives you a nice ranged game and the CRA on the Striders can deal with a high arm target.

Thagrosh, Prophet of Everblight (*5pts)
* Ravagore (10pts)
* Typhon (12pts)
Blighted Ogrun Warspears (Leader and 4 Grunts) (8pts)

Lylyth, Shadow of Everblight (*5pts)
* Teraph (5pts)
* Ravagore (10pts)
Blighted Nyss Striders (Leader and 5 Grunts) (6pts)
* Blighted Nyss Striders Officer & Musician (3pts)
Annyssa Ryvaal, Talon of Everblight (4pts)

But I play Cygnar so take my advice with a grain or two of salt.

So much yes. The Ravagore alone is enough to make most Khador players either sad pandas or to learn how to properly start spacing infantry.
