Custodes players, lend me your ears.

So since all Custodes now get the Misericordia dagger thing. The rule for the weapon states and I quote

"Each time the bearer fights, it makes 1 additional attack with this weapon"

NOW, Custode Sagitarum's have a base 4 attacks; and only pack a gun and the Misericordia. Can a Custodes Sagitarum use/make all 4 attacks using the Misericordia??

Or is it restricted to 4 attacks using the butt of his rifle at strength 5 and 1 additional attack using the Misericordia??

I ask because at a recent tourney there was a split argument about the issue. several said no only 1 attack with dagger. while some (including the player) stated that he could use all 4 attacks with the Misericordia dagger.

I went to GW site, Nothing.

So anyone have an actual page from GW that shows how it works??

Thanks B town.

It's similar to the Tyranid Scything Talons.

'Each time the bearer fights, it makes 1 additional attack with this weapon.'
You get 1 additional attack with that weapon. So if you have 4 attacks, you now get 5 attacks with the dagger (or you can split the attacks with other weapons in whatever combination you wish, but you can only ever use that additional attack with that dagger). Tyranids have been doing this for ages now. It's why I run Screamer Carnifexes. they used to have a FAQ about it with chainswords, as the same language is present in that rule. There used to be a Tyranid FAQ about it as well, but since the new book, their new FAQ is smaller.

If I find it, I will update my post here.

But it's 5 attacks with dagger.
