Who has seen it?
What do you think?
I haven't had chance to watch it, but the 1 review I've heard didn't pan it well.
Discuss.

It was pretty good, but I thought it was odd that there were so many female Ultramarines.
Seriously though, I only saw the sample clips and they looked kind of weak. It looks like the scenes you would see on a console game between levels. Hopefully it's better than what they have on the website. On a different note I've been wanting to see a SpaceHulk movie ever since 2nd edition.
Anyone actually see the full movie yet?

I enjoyed it.
Don't go in there expecting the next summer blockbuster, and you'll be fine.
A buddy of mine bought it, and we watched it on one of our Saturday Game Days.
The Apothecary always seems to just not look quite *right* when he's walking, but the rest are relatively good.
The graphics in the various DoW cut scenes are better, tbh, but those don't have to go on for over an hour, either.
All in all, I'd say a solid B+, provided you keep your perspective and don't expect to go in and be blown away.

I watched about 2 minutes of it, long enough to see the credits and to check the quality of my copy.
I haven't seen a video game preview in a long time that hasn't been at least this quality, most better. It looks like they planned a game and after 10 years of failure, just rendered it to a movie.
I'm especially glad I didn't drop $40 for it.
The extra book and such better perform housework, modify dice rolls and paint my minis for me.

I maintain my previous commentary. If you go into it expecting it to be what it is, you won't be disappointed.
There's a thread on Dakka somewhere, where there was a lot of detail put into describing why it looks the way it does. In essence, it boils down to the fact that it was done within budget, and the budget for those video game cut scenes is HUGE. To do the whole movie like that wouldn't have been feasible for a non-theater release.

After watching it, here is my opinion.
It was well written, because Dan Abnett wrote it.
I've never read anything by him that wasn't at least good.
The story is good as a story, or possibly as an adventure/scenario for a RPG.
The animation was good; for something released in the 1990's or early 2000's.
Cut scenes in WAR are better; hell most every MMO & games I've played since Diablo, were/are better. Heh, the crap from EQ2 was better.
Alot of nods to GW's old artwork, hence why John Blanche was acknowledged at the end. [his detail is still awesome.]
70-75 minutes for $40..not worth it.
$20 maybe, most likely better off from the Wallymart for $9.99.

Just going from the reviews and few clips that I have seen, I intend to purchase it. I cannot justify $40, but if they release a cheaper $20 version (which I heard mention of before) I will do it. The extra "stuff" just doesn't excite me in the least, especially for another $20.
The super old grandpa marine that I saw looked odd though.

I have the movie (and will be trading/selling it here sometime soon) and I was a little dissapointed. But, I had high hopes going in. It was OK.

I agree that it wasn't worth $40. I'd say $30 wouldn't be horrible, though.
The second disk, even with the "hidden" content, wasn't anything that really excited me. It's no huge loss.
I also agree that the less than 90 minute duration was a big disappointment.

If you've got nothing better to do, then have at it.
Otherwise, don't make it a huge priority; especially considering your views on the movie. You won't be impressed.
I wasn't impressed, and I LIKED the movie.

The storyline was good but I noticed that some of the movements were choppy.
Another disappointment was not seeing the Multi-melta on the Speeder shoot. I'd like to have seen what that bad boy could do.
It's worth watching but would I want to watch it more than a 1 or 2 times then, No.
I think they would do much better going with a movie created like the film clips from the Dawn of War games.
If they come out with another "movie" I would like to see some of the other races in it. Orks would be my first pick followed by either Necrons or Bugs. Dark Eldar might be pretty good as well.

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!
SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!
Agreed on the Multi Melta.
All 4 of us were a bit psyched to see it, only to get verbally abusive towards the screen when both of the Speeder crew members came up dead, having never shot it.
We were not happy!

Never really managed to find the full version online other than in french but it looked kind of good ,the graphics look a bit poor but overall its what you would expect to see in a film of its type.
