These are the rules we're putting forth. If you have input, NOW is the time to bring it up. This thread will be active for 2 weeks (or more, if we get lazy/forgetful).
Update to Rules:
Acceptable Trade Goods People Have Asked About:
• Paintball or Airsoft markers/guns and accessories/equipment.
• "Boffer" style weapons made of PVC pipe and foam padding are acceptable. If you have questions whether or not your item qualifies as "boffer" then contact us before you post. We will clarify.
• Foam lined gun and rifle cases (commonly used as miniature carrying cases).
• Resin and 3D Printing Machines, curing stations, resin, software packages, tools used in the hobby, etc. (must be located in the appropriate forum)
Questionable Trade Goods People Have Asked About:
• 3D printed items. PRINTED items may ONLY be exchanged for HARDWARE or other PRINTED items (ask an admin [red name] if you are unsure). This rule does not apply to Advertisers, who may sell 3D printed items if that is allowed by the file creator.
• See Rule #12 for restrictions on digital paraphernalia.
Forum name and tagline:

Subject:
Resin & 3D Printers - Rules
Body:
Due to the advancement and affordability of 3D printing, we are opening up a new forum centered around 3D printing, resin, and all the goodies involved.
Hardware will be defined as: R3DP machines, curing stations, resin, software packages, tools used in the hobby, etc. Anything you have that's R3DP related will go in this forum. Items in the R3DP may ONLY be R3DP related. You may not trade files for printing unless you are the original creator of the file. Unlike other forums, NO CROSS POSTING IS ALLOWED.
You may sell R3DP "hardware" for cash, but any PRINTED items may ONLY be exchanged for hardware or other printed items.
We have a zero tolerance policy. Violating the rules sees your ad zapped and an escalating time out (starts at 1 day and increases from there for future violations of R3DP rules).
No reprints of copyrighted materials are allowed, per our recasting policy. This includes items too "close" to copyrighted images, even if not exact. Bartertown Staff will decide whether or not items are "too close" to copyrighted materials. Please contact an admin [red name] if you are unsure about an item.
For our purposes, copyright also includes what the file creator allows you to do with prints from their files. Some have strict "no sales or trades" policies, and others have "do whatever you want with the prints" policies. If we receive a copyright complaint from another party, the relevant ad(s) will be pulled until the matter is resolved to our satisfaction. If you don't have the right to trade or sell prints of those items, it will be treated as we do all copyright/recasting violations.
Remember that, on Bartertown, "Ask for forgiveness, rather then permission" is not acceptable. If you do something questionable, it will be treated as if you knew you were violating rules. If there's any question, ALWAYS ask in the "Have Questions? Need Help?" Forum (https://www.bartertown.com/trading/viewforum.php?f=40).
If you violate our R3DP rules, you can expect a suspension that will start at 1 day, and may eventually lead to a permanent ban. We may escalate the consequences at our discretion based on the situation and any extenuating circumstances.
These rules may change at any given time. Please refer back to this post before posting to ensure you have the most up to date information.
ALL ADS MUST HAVE #R3DP in the Subject Line to show that you read this notice before posting your ad. If your Subject Line does not have #R3DP in it, we will remove the ad as soon as we see it.
Happy trading!
Okay, folks. Have at it!
