What is going on with people lately?

I've noticed that, recently, there has been an unusual number of traders leaving references and using a number instead of the people's name?

Is this a BTown error, or are people really doing this?

I mean, look... I earned that ref. I'd like it to reflect my NAME so that there is no question that it might, in some way, be misrepresenting something.

I know that, personally, if I see a trader who has 10 ref's and 7 of them didn't even bother to use his name, only a number (yes, I have seen that), I begin to wonder if the pattern is representative of the traders' practices in some way.

Please, people.... if this is a decision you made... Stop.

Be respectful enough to use the person's name.
Write down the details ahead of time, if you can't remember.
Open another browser window, access the info through email or BTown THAT way, then copy it over to the other window.
I do that all the time.


PLEASE.... Think about the other trader!

It's simple. Keep the mail packaging, and use the information from the return address. One of my later refs has a single digit, and I think an older one says I'm from another province.. I thought it was just me, but I'm glad other ppl are pointing this out.

DOH! That's my fault. Their user id is being displayed instead of their username, I'll get that fixed and it will fix all references.

Adam -- Why is it a single digit, and why does it change?
If it's the user ID, wouldn't that be the same every time? Also, why is it not happening every time? Check out MK's feedback. His most recent one has his name. The one before that shows and 8.

Is there a way we can get typos in our names fixed in the Btown reference system?

Also, can we get our names added to references where they're not present?

This thread prompted me to go check out my refs after what Adam said. My name and locations are all now perfect! Thanks!

I have a 3, a 6, and a 5 in the name field for my last 3 references.
