linrandir@aol.com blocks hotmail emails so I unfortunately cannot contact site admins through those means. My friend quickly made up an account and helped me write this as diplomatic as possible.

This is as per my recent banning:

Hi there, this is Thanos33 from the Bartertown forums. I was banned today. Yesterday I had received two pm's from one of the site admins. He had sent me a pm to advise me to overview the site policy for posting Bad trader threads in the appropriate manner. I had already mentioned that I would overview the posting for Bad Traders and post the correct response when I had the time to do so. He said if I had an issue with anything he mentioned I should contact one of two individuals. He never said I would be banned.

Now on the subject of being banned. I was royally screwed in two recent trades and during the holidays no less by two members of the forums. One who if I took the route of the forums I would have received no compensation and the net result would have been my models being stolen. Instead the result was the father of the child who attempted to steal my models reimbursing me $150.00 via paypal (I used tactics which have worked on other subsequent forums over the years). I am however still out $66.00 from Yazaran C.O.D. ing his portion of our recent trade from UPS, luckily I have recouped $150.00 from FuzzyPanda's father so it's not an entire loss of my holiday money. I have a very sour feeling as though you guys are making me out to suffer from simply being pissed and posting my regards after being royal f'ed.

Yazaran has still yet to reply about the $66.00 he owes me. This current ban also puts me in a predicament with current trades I have going, as I do not now have access to the mailing addresses of the individuals who I have just completed recent trades with.

So to reiterate; I'm in good standing on the site, get screwed by 2 members of the site, and now am put in a circumstance where I might become a bad trader myself by the site admins for banning me during ongoing trades. Does this make any sense whatsoever?

Well, don't you worry. You sure did manage to get our attention here, sparky.
Also... nobody here uses the email address of "linrandir@aol.com." If you had not paid the amount of attention that you apparently did to site rules (repeatedly) as you did to his email address, you might have avoided this situation in it's entirety.

On January 3, AFTER your posts were removed, you PMed imp522 the following message:

What are the site rules? Someone cheated me, is it my responsibility to take 3-4 hours of my day to list the *edit* that went wrong? I mean the second case was resolved already because someone's kid tried to steal models from me. The second case the person has yet to respond to something very simple where they C.O.D models to me. I have the receipt for this but I need the site to provide pressure to the individual not take hours on end out of work day to get 1 point of negative feedback for someone who is blatantly trying to *edit* me over. It's simple really, don't try to screw over the community. I will look over the policies of the site in the next few days and try to post a quick reply on the forum with the specifics but you guys need to realize that most cases like the one with FuzzyPanda people just need to be pressured to get things done. First... "What are the site rules?" Really? They're posted at the TOP OF THE VERY FORUM WHERE YOU POSTED YOUR BTRs!
When you created your account, you agreed to read the rules, don't act high and mighty with us because YOU did not perform your due diligence.
Second... Yes. As a matter of fact, it IS your responsibility to take the time to do so. If it takes you 3-4 hours, you REALLY should learn better computer skills. Yazaran was able to post the details, for God's sake. Hell, take a look around that forum. Damn near everyone who starts a post there is able to read the rules or does so after we inform them of the requirement.
That forum, you'll be disappointed to see, is not about "providing pressure" to those who owe you stuff. It is one of the beneficial side effects of it, but the actual intent is quite different. The actual intent of that forum is to warn other site members of Users who are problematic and/or taking advantage of the trust people are placing in them. This is why posting your proof is so important. If you're going to fling accusations about someone around our site, you need to be able to prove that what you say is true. More than once, we've had people try to post ineligible BTR's when, in reality, the people they were reporting didn't deserve it.

He may have not warned you that you'd be suspended (Note: a suspension is what you received for not following the rules [twice], even after warned by a staff member abd given 24 hours to do so. We reserve bans for more egregious actions, like multi-accounting), but the POSTED RULES clearly state what the consequences of not following them are. Had you read them then, well, you know.

First - I'm glad (truly) that you recouped what was looking to be a loss from FuzzyPanda. had you gone through things the correct way, it would not have been a problem. You chose not to follow our rules, though.
Second - Yazaran did not send your items COD. He sent them via UPS. UPS charged you Customs fees and a brokerage fee, as well. This is not the same as sending items COD. It is a fee from UPS that is due upon delivery.

Your next PM was at 4:32 am Tuesday. You could have stopped it to ensure that he sent via USPS. You did not.
You are as responsible as he is for that cost.
Additionally (a quote from your PM to him):

had you sent USPS and done what I initially said by putting "used miniatures" and "gift" on the package would have cost something around $23.00.

Asking someone to violate Federal Law by calling a trade a gift is bad form. It's even WORSE form to get ticked at him for NOT breaking the law for you.
Really, you should know these things, with as many trades as you have under your belt.

You should know that we weren't "making [you] out to suffer from simply being pissed and posting [your] regards after being royal f'ed." We were attempting to give you an opportunity to follow the site rules that you agreed to follow when you joined. When you did not do so in the GENEROUS time frame provided, the posted consequences were enacted. THEN, you went and got all p!ssy about it.
Let's just be sure that we're being clear and fair here, after all.

Re: Yarazan - We do not support your assertion that he owes you. It's easily arguable that, as a Canadian who completed at least 41 trades in the past, you are more responsible to know the shipping specifics for your country than he is. ESPECIALLY since you were notified that the shipment would go UPS and remained silent on the fact.

Well, you weren't screwed by 2 members of the site. You were ALMOST screwed by one, and had an unfortunate misunderstanding with the second.
As for being a bad Trader; if no deals were completed, you cannot be reported as a Bad Trader. On the other hand, if someone has sent or paid you for something... no worries. Now that this is posted, they can PM me and I'll give them your email address.

Thanos33's suspension has been increased to a ban, based on his multi-accounting and offensive mannerisms towards site staff. He seems to have believed that a little belligerence and attitude would allow him to bowl right over us and that we would just crumble in his mighty presence.
