Blood Bowl Help!

Post by Bulkoth »

I've been trying for a few days to find a retailer I can buy a copy of Blood Bowl and a few teams from at less than retail and no one seems to even reply to my inquiries.

I'm in the US so most bloodbowl specific sites are out of reach between exchange rates and shipping costs.

I want to pick up the 3rd ed boxed set and a few teams from GW and maybe some minis from smaller manufacturers like Willy, Neomics, Shadowforge...

Any one have some advice or a recommendation of a retailer they've had luck with?

I think because they are all special order, many online retailers don't make enough money off of them to make it worth while.

you might want to try ebay...
Trade Rules: all unless otherwise arranged
Lower Rating ships first, but like ratings can ship at the same time.
Trades are retail for retail.
Shipping is always to be priority mail with dc#'s exchanged.

There is no reason to buy the box. Anything in the box you can get better stuff for less or similar prices or make your own.

Seems like GW heard my gripes... rumor has it on Warseer/Dakka that next year we're getting a new BB boxed set with 4 teams and finecast everything else... I think I'll wait and see what happens there.

Or you could do what I do, and use the Wfb army that matches. For instance, I did chaos, buy getting a box of beast men and warriors,. It allows you to really convert and personalize your team.

I'm going to try this with some BfSP Dwarfs and to get my BB Goblins and Black Orcs (maybe a troll too).

Otherwise, Ebay... but that does seem to be our best bet. Sometimes there's a few teams or figs going for decent prices, but they are still few and far between it seems.

My FLGS has enough Khemri and Halfling boosters for 12 man teams, but it'd still run about $45 per team. Had some Wood Elves and Highelves too, but not a full teams worth of either.

hey.. thats retail!

MY FLGS has the blood bowl box on his shelf for considerably more than 2x retail.. cause it is Out of Print. Never mind the GW website having it.. he knows it is OOP and just is not gonna change his mind.

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

Folks I am awaiting a ref from.. Zack

I constantly see current Blood Bowl teams on ebay as OOP. It drives me nuts. I saw the current Chaos All-Star team on there the other day and someone wanted $299 for it. It was in the original box, that looked like it's age and had the transfers, but still.

If it's metal, it's OOP, and has been for years.
