Do they still make 3-d Life Counters for card games?

Post by porkuslime »

Alright, this is silly..

I want to get a metal 2 part life counter thingie for playing Magic.

I have 3, 2 by Reaper from years gone by, and one from another maker.. and there are 4 members of my family. I have "mine", my wife has one, and so does my oldest daughter. Now that my youngest is learning MTG, I want to get her one of the same/similar style.. but...

Checking ebay, these darn things are outrageously expensive.. lord almighty.. anywhere from 75-150 bucks?

Anyone have ANY idea where I can get something more reasonably price? Say, $20 or less?

Look smartie, I got dice comin outta my ears.. I am going for the "Coolness" concept.

The other 3 people in the house have this style of counter.. so she wants one too. Dice don't cut it, and can be knocked if the table is bumped.

I am SURE you know that though, and are just being snarky..

I have, or had in case they're lost somewhere in the house, 2 of the metal dials that are 2 sided, like a coin. 1 side is marked 1-20, the other 21-40.
There's a mage holding a gem style crystal ball that you use to mark like. Their made out of metal, maybe pewter.
Is that what your looking for?

I have one with a Nightmare on it that Medevl gave me as a present a LONG time ago. I don't know if it was a standard one or if he put it together special. I am not planning on getting rid of it, but I just wonder if you can buy the "bases" and then add whatever figure to the top of it.

Mine are/were [depending if I can find it/them] a basic life counter, but the pose was different. Each has/had a different crystal ball.

I'll look when I can.

Try googling a company called flying tricycle. They make flat life counters just like the base of the scrye ones. They retail for about 16 and you could attach whatever mini you want. All in all should be much cheaper.

I'm pretty sure I have at least 1 of the right hand style. I had 2, don't know if I still do. 1 had/has a red globe gem, other has/had a grey. I gotta look to see if I still have either/both.
