It's REALLY not a big deal, man.
As long as you're not violating any of the forum rules 9and, really, you SHOULD read them if you haven't), your fine.

Overall, we're a fairly laid-back, easy-going site. Threadomancy in the discussion forums is ACTUALLY not against the rules. But... you're still going to get harassed for it. LOL

Welcome to Bartertown.

Not. Yellow. Feet. Sheesh. That's fire.
He was an Easter bunny, who was dyed pink, and let loose after they were tired of him.
He mutated and did AoE and DD fire attacks. He no longer was a happy bunny.

He was a City of Villains character called Pink Fuzzy Bunny. He was about 7 feet tall and several hundred pounds of pissed off rabbit. Other players laughed at him until the saw him, and the AoE fire and fire attacks. They didn't laugh long.

Yeah, if you look really close, you can see the toes poking out the bottom. They're yellow ankle warmers.

You know what?
That's MY bad. I totally agree now.
It's not yellow feet.

"Yellow ankle warmers" is DEFINITELY closer to accurate!

The trouble with painting that effect is that the fire is translucent and doesn't actually give off light- so when you transfer it to an opaque mini, it ends up just being flat. Also, the programmers took advantage of the way that polygons overlay one another (so they just put a roughly humanoid fire silhouette over the top of the purple creature).

The way you get fire to look right on a mini is to make it a source of light, and make sure it is lighter (at least at the source/bottom) than everything else on the mini.

You'll end up with some composition issues if you make a mini that reflects that image very well -because the light shows up best on his feet- which doesn't make a terrific center of interest, and won't light his head and face very well.

And I'm honestly astonished that you let MM just deflect the 'silly avatar' discussion away from his very silly avatar.
